JUST A GLIMPSE…

INT.  CASTLE LIBRARY – NIGHT.  VISION.

A library in an old Scottish castle, there are two archways opposite each other that lead into the room.  We can hear the sound of a storm outside.

ÉMILIE, early twenties, dressed in commercial goth-chic stands at one of the shelves with a book in her hands.

We hear a MAN’S HOWL echo from the beyond one of the archways.

Émilie looks up from her book and towards the archway, scared.

She quickly dashes over to a table in the corner of the room and crouches under it.  She pulls the chair close, trying to hide as best she can and staring at the archway.

Seconds later a figure appears in the archway; EDWARD, a man in his early twenties, wearing trousers and a white shirt.  The shirt has blood on it and Edward’s face, hands and arms are smeared heavily with fresh blood.

Edward stands in the archway for a few seconds, panting (He has been running), he grins.

The camera cuts to Ben’s POV shot from the drawing room through the opposite library archway.  As Ben turns away to hide he catches his own reflection in a mirror on the wall, with a last glance towards Edward he ducks into the shadows.

In the library, Edward continues to run, across the room and through the archway on the other side, towards Ben.  We hear a HOWL from Edward echo from the corridor.

Émilie stays still and stares at the archway that Edward has run through, scared.  A few seconds pass in silence, and a SCREAM echoes from the direction Edward ran (Edward’s scream). More SCREAMS follow and Émilie looks terrified.

Suddenly, there is a low HUM and CLICK as the main generator shuts down and all the lights in the castle go out.
