THE PROJECT

Lucid is a tense psychological thriller script that interweaves multiple characters and dramatic story arcs with audience preconceptions of the genre to deliver an intense, exciting and often unexpected storyline.

It presents an ideal European independent feature project that breathes depth and character into an entertaining story concept without losing any of its potential appeal to international audiences delivering a compelling and action packed last third.

The screenplay has been developed through Coffee Films, intimately involving original screenwriter James Hancock, director Nicolas Fogliarini and executive producer Xavier Gens, to reach the current ready-to-shoot stage.

Coffee Films are well placed to handle production with it necessarily located in our home territory, and in an area (the Scottish Highlands) we are familiar with and strongly connected to through previous productions.

We are currently talking with a range of high calibre British and French cinema actors, finalising financing options and discussing a range of distribution opportunities for the film as we move towards pre-production in Summer/Autumn this year.

Lucid is a film with incredible commercial potential in the domestic and international market that successfully delivers a character-focused, tense and heavily psychological flavour to an intensely popular genre that we look forward to bringing to life.
